Expertise wherever the job takes us
Working overseas brings a different kind of challenge. This project took PSEM to South Africa for specialist repair work on a set of flame tubes within a large power generation facility. New surroundings, different working practices and unfamiliar ways of approaching a job all require one thing above all else; adaptability.
Projects like these are never the work of one person. They rely on welders, fitters, engineers, supervisors and local teams bringing their own experience to the table and working towards the same result. Methods and procedures may differ from one country to another, but good communication, teamwork and a willingness to learn from each other quickly bridge the gap.
The repair itself involved specialist welding of chromium-nickel (CrNi) super-alloys designed to survive some of the harshest conditions found inside a turbine. It was demanding work in a demanding environment, but that’s exactly where experience and precision count most. Wherever the project takes us, the objective remains the same: adapt to the challenge, work as a team and deliver work we can be proud of.
